Floral Serpent Welcomes Spring! The Golden Flower Sea in Sanyi Blooms for Lunar New Year
As the Lunar New Year approaches, a stunning golden flower sea has appeared in the farmlands beside Guangsheng Village Sports Park, capturing the attention of visitors. Every November, after the autumn rice harvest, the township office collaborates with local farmers to plant rapeseed flowers across approximately three hectares of farmland, spanning Guangsheng Village Sports Park and the western side of the highway. The Lunar New Year marks the peak bloom period, offering the best time for flower viewing.
The rapeseed flower fields in Sanyi Township are now in full bloom, attracting bees and butterflies that dance gracefully among the vibrant blossoms.
Township Chief Lü Mingzhong noted that one of the most popular spring outing destinations during the New Year is the flower sea near the sports park. Visitors can rent YouBikes at Sanyi Train Station and other locations to explore Sanyi on two wheels, leisurely enjoying the charming rural landscape.
In addition to flower viewing, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Shengxing Station, the Wood Sculpture Museum, the Longteng Broken Bridge, and the popular Old Mountain Line Rail Bike, offering a rich and immersive cultural and natural experience in Sanyi.
Transportation & Parking Information:
Use Google Maps to locate Sanyi Township Sports Park. Visitors are advised to park at the Sanyi River Covered Free Parking Lot (near PX Mart). From there, it’s a short 300-meter walk to the sports park.
